The existing 75 foot ling 48 inch pipe structure conveyed Sanford Creek (WQC index number: 27-23-5; classification: C; NSW). The Department proposes to replace this failed pipe with a 75 foot long 12 ft-3 in X 7 ft-3 in aluminum structural place arch with headwalls. The project will result in the following anticipated impacts: -35 linear feet Class II rip rap streambank stabilization (permanent impact) -35 linear feet dewatering (temporary stream impact completely concurrent within limits of rip rap bank stabilization) -35 linear feet riparian buffer impacts (4,200 sq ft BZ 1 impacts) -An undetermined amount of Class II rip rap will likely be placed within a large blowhole in the stream below the outlet of the structure. This rip rap will not extend above the invert of the pipe outlet. Please advise if you need additional information.
