The proposed structure is a RCBC (3@ 12'X8') with a 1.0' sill on the center barrel and 2' sills on the outside bazrels. Traffic will follow an offsite detour during conshuction. Pennanent impacts to jurisdictional wetlands cover approximately 0.11 acres resulring from installation of the new culvert and abutments and temporary impacts totaling 0.04 acres due to hand clearing and sediment and erosion control devices. Permanent impacts to jurisdictional streams cover approximately 421f of permanent impacts and 91 lineaz feet of temporary impacts. A total of 0.22 acres of non-riparian wetlands and 84 linear feet of wazm streazn are being offered as mitigation for this proj ect. Please see enclosed copies of the Pre-Construction Notification (PCI, Preliminary Jurisdictional Determination Form, DMS Mitigation Letter, stormwater management plan, pernut drawings, and the LIBR spreadsheet for the above-referenced project. The proposed culvert provides more effective hydraulic opening than the existing bridge and will be replaced in-place. The culvert will be buried to maintain stream bedform and there will be no excavation in non-permitted jurisdictional areas. The removal of road fill for the culvert bridge will increase the size of the opening. Promotion of sheet flow and infiltration over stabilized banks or grassed surfaces is proposed. Side slopes will be 2:1 and 3:1 to minimize the amount of fill in the wetland. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. Best Management Practices for Protection of Surface Waters and for Bridge Demolition and Removal will be implemented during the construction phase. Drill shafts will not be utilized. 2.
