The project also includes 0.07 miles of approach roadway improvements and the re-grading of two existing drives prior to the crossing of Beaverdam Swamp. In accordance with Tar-Pamlico River Buffer Regulations, the proposed bridge does not contain deck drains. All stormwater from the bridge and approaches will be collected by a storm drainage system and discharged into a grass lined 3:1 'V' ditch. The drainage system will ouUet outside of the buffer limits in the northeast quadrant at -L- station15+48 LT. All four quadrants have ditches that tie diredly to Beaverdam Swamp with ditch in the southeast quadrant being classified as jurisdictional. This ditch will be piped 120' to minimize impacts to adjacent properties. The ditch in the northwest quadrant will be impaded only to replace the 42" drive pipe that will be longer than the existing due to the regrading of the grevel drive over that ditch.
