Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 3400 Year: 2031 Existin : 0.21 Year: 2011 General Project Narrative: State project 17BP.2.R.67 involves the replacement of Beaufort County Bridge #060110 on SR 1507 (Slatestone Rd.) over Beaverdam Swamp. The existing bridge consists of (Description of Minimization of Water 1@ 15' - 7", 1@ 15' - 2", 1@ 15' - 8" reinforced concrete deck spans on timber joists and is to be replaced with a 1@ 40' - 0", 1@ 30' - 0", 21" cored slab bridge (70' total Quality Impacts) length, 33' total width) at the same location. The project also includes 0.07 miles of approach roadway improvements and the re-grading of two existing drives prior to the crossing of Beaverdam Swamp. In accorance with Tar-Pamlico River Buffer Regulations, the propsoed bridge does not contain deck drains. All stormwater from the bridge and approches will be collected by a storm drainage system and discharged into a grass lined 3:1 'V' ditch. The drainage system will outlet outside of the buffer limits in the northeast quadrant at -L- station 15+48 LT. No wetlands are present within the project limits. All four quadrants have ditches that tie directly to Beaverdam Swamp with ditch in the southeast quadrant being classified as jurisditional. This ditch will be pipied 120' to minamize impacts to adjacent properties, the remaining ditches that are impacted by the project are designed to replacate the existing drainage patterns. The ditch in the northwest quadrant will be impacted only to replace the 42" drive pipe that will be longer than the existing due to the regrading of the gravel drive over that ditch.
