RE: Project Narrative
Lots 16-18 Old Folkstone Estates
Onslow County, NC
Ms. Burdette:
Geothermal, Environmental,
& Well Drilling
On behalf of Eastern NC Homebuilders, LLC, Applied Resources Management, P.C. is providing
you with a project narrative for the above referenced site.
The project is located along Penny Lane in Old Folkstone Estates at the above noted lots in Onslow
County. This site has previously been reviewed for a Jurisdictional Determination. In order to
construct a driveway for a home, fill material will be needed in a small portion of the noted wetlands;
therefore a Nationwide Permit 29 is being sought.
The proposed project consists of construction of a driveway across two wetland points to access an
area of uplands where a home is to be located on each respective lot. The wetland areas extend the
entire width of the lot and thus make this minimal impact necessary to access the upland area.
The impact is expected to be a total of approximately 0.09 acres. This wetland impact has been
minimized by reducing the footprint of the house and locating the houses in an area to maximize the
upland area as much as possible. Furthermore, fill is only being proposed driveway purposes only.
Fill material is not being proposed to build up yard area.
If you have any questions or require any additional information, please feel free to contact me at
(910) 270-2919.
Sincerely,
-n ,
Gene Youn —

1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project.
The proposed crossings were chosen at the shortest crossing distance and in a perpendicular angle to reduce impact. Also, a shared drive on lot 16

Minimal driveway widths are proposed to limit slope and fill areas. See engineered plans attached.
