The Division of Water Resources (Division) Winston-Salem Regional Office has reviewed the request for
final closeout of the mitigation projects associated with the widening of New Garden Road. In addition,
the Division is in receipt of a letter issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers dated August 11, 2016
regarding this issue. The Division has determined that the mitigation project has met the success criteria
as documented in the 401 Water Quality Certification 2006-0684 and monitoring can be terminated at
this time.
The long-term protection mechanisms included in the approved Mitigation Plan must remain in effect in
