Please see the email below that I sent to Andy and Brian a few weeks ago. In the past, the Montgomery County USACOE and DWR staff attended the merger meetings for these projects as the representative for their agency. Currently, projects R-2530B and B-4974 in Stanly County are funded for right of way acquisition (2017) and construction (2019), and R-2527 in Montgomery County is unfunded. Since R-2530B and B-4974 will require permitting in the near future, would you rather have the Stanly County USACOE and DWR staff attend the remaining merger meetings and represent their th agency? Please let me know by July 15, if possible. I will provide meeting background information in the Merger Packet in several weeks. These projects will be new to both of you. Way back when these projects were combined based on Richard Spencer’s (USACOE) request, the Eastern representatives agreed to handle the Merger Process for these projects. David Wainwright and Polly Lespinasse were our DWR reps, and several USACOE folks, including Liz Hair, Ronnie Smith and Richard Spencer have represented USACOE.
