Re:Monitoring of Bank Stabilization at Buffalo Creek Temporary
Stream Crossing
The bank stabilization at the Buffalo Creek Temporary Crossing
appears to be stable with increased vegetation on the downstream
side at the top of bank and increased vegetation upstream of the
area that received the riprap. The wetland at the top of slope on
the downstream side also appears to have increased vegetation
and impacts from mats utilized to place the riprap are now barely
visible.
Pictures of the area described herein, as well as, the stream’s bank
within 200 feet up and downstream of the stabilization area are
attached. We will continue to monitor the stream’s embankment
to maintain minimal disturbance.
