Dear Ms. Karoly,
This letter is in response to a request from the Metropolitan Sewerage District in
Buncombe County as the status of the county's post construction stormwater
management program and its impact on the area serviced by the proposed sewer line
project. The county was given delegated authority as a Phase 11 Post Construction
Stormwater Program and notified by letter dated December 21, 2007 from Coleen Sullins
and addressed to Jon E. Creighton, Assistant County Manager. Buncombe County also
provides enforcement of its stormwater program in the jurisdiction of the Town of
Weaverville by formal agreement. This office has been working closely with Mr. Mike
Randall and Bill Diguid of the NC DWQ, Stormwater Permitting Unit in Raleigh. They
may also be contacted as to the status of the county's stormwater program.
