Thanks for the information Galen. I think I’m clear on what’s proposed for the drainage ditch.
Thanks,

Attached is drainage plans and x-sections. Plans look to be consistent with permit plan sheets but not the culvert
report. The culvert report shows ditch from earlier design. Typically we do not update the reports for site drainage
revisions if it does not affect the structure type, layout, size, etc. Usually the reports are not included in permit package
(or even in the construction plans). Basically, culvert or bridge reports are just provided for the structural engineers to
use for their plans and for our coordination with FEMA/NCFMP and do not show up anywhere else. The construction
plans should reflect the most updated drainage plans.
Also, attached picture of ditch (same quadrant as vehicle). Also viewed on street view. The existing ditch looks stable so
I am comfortable with proposed grass lined ditch thru buffer, although based on slope would not get treatment. As
mentioned yesterday negligible change in ditch flow so same pre/post discharge in ditch. Existing ditch also conveys to
stream and is being covered up by project footprint on the right side, so relocated approximately 2’ – 5’.
Hope this info helps. Let me know if additional questions/comments.
Thanks
Galen
