With reference to the subject permit additional time is needed in order to develop the Storm
Water Management Plan. Therefore, it is requested that condition 3 of this permit be modified to
allow Duke Energy until August 30, 2008 to submit the Storm Water Management Plan.
Enclosed is a check for $240 as required to modify the subject isolated wetland permit.
If your office is in agreement with this request, upon receipt of this modified permit Duke
Energy Carolinas, LLC will withdraw its request for an adjudicatory hearing for the subject
permit. Duke Energy plans to apply for approval to use the express Storm Water Management
Plan review process in order to ensure that this project stays on schedule.
