Exceedances include Zinc at SW001, Mercury at SW001, Zinc at SW012, Mercury at SW016, Copper at SW016, TSS at SW016, TSS at SW018, Mercury at SW018,
Copper at SW018, Mercury at SW020, Copper at SW020, and TSS at SW020.
A - SW018 failed the MS recovery for SGT -HEM 1664B (oil and grease) at 37% (64-132% is acceptable). The LCS passed at 82%. It is believed this is due to the matrix
of the sample, but the results are reportable.
B - The mercury field blank for samples collected January 15, 2016 had a detected value (0.884 ng/L) Therefore, per the permit (footnote #2 of Table 5) this value was
subtracted from all mercury results collected during this event.
C - Method 1631 states that if mercury is found in the field blank at a concentration equal to or greater than 0.5 ng/L, or greater than one-fifth the level in the associated
sample, whichever is greater, results for associated samples may be the result of contamination and may not be reported or otherwise used for regulatory compliance
purposes. Therefore any results less than 4.4 ng/L should be considered suspect and if reported for compliance should be flagged. The results for Outfalls 008, 009 and
012 were below 4.4 ng/l and are flagged.
