On May 22, 2008, the NC Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received a copy of the Corps of Engineers Public Notice for
this project. An Individual 404 Permit will be required for this project. Please note that the following must be received prior to
issuance of a 401 Water Quality Certification:
1. The 401 Certification cannot be processed until five (5) complete sets of the application and associated maps is received
at the DWQ Central Office in Raleigh along with the appropriate fee. .
2. Application fee: please note that the N.C. General Assembly approved an increase for application fees for all regulatory
programs administered by DWQ, effective July 1, 2007. The fee for applications is now $240 for projects impacting less
than an acre of wetland and less than 150 linear feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial). For projects
impacting one or more acres of wetland or 150 linear feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial), the fee is $570.
Until the information requested in this letter is provided, I will request (by copy of this letter) that the Corps of Engineers
place this project on hold. Also, this project will be placed on hold for our processing due to incomplete information (15A
NCAC 2H.0507(a)).
