APPROVAL OF SECOND REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF EEP MITIGATION PAYMENT DUE DATE
Dear Mr. Grote:
On August 9, 2006, the Division of Water Quality received your letter dated August 9, 2006, regarding a second
extension to the due date for payment to the NC Ecosystem Enhancement Program (EEP) to meet mitigation
requirements for the project, as required in Condition No. 8 of your 401 Water Quality Certification, issued to
you on June 12, 2006. You have requested an additional 30-day extension to the previous 30-day extension of
the due date of the EEP payment which required the payment be due by August 10, 2006. The DWQ will
hereby grant an extension for the above-referenced EEP payment to September 10, 2006. If the required EEP
payment is not received by the EEP by August 10, 2006, your existing 401 Water Quality Certification for the
above-referenced project may be considered revoked by the DWQ and you Will need to reapply for DWQ
approval. This includes submitting a complete application package with the appropriate fee.
This letter only addresses the granting of an extension to the due date for payment to the NC Ecosystem
Enhancement Program (EEP) to meet mitigation requirements for the project, as required in Condition No. 8 of your
401 Water Quality Certification and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers. Please
be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ. Please
