REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Taylor:
On May 12, 2008, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your 401 Pre Construction
Notification (PCN) application dated May 5, 2008 for utility crossings within the subdivision.
The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate
information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to
process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property.
Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move
toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project
on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following
information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. The proposed subdivision (group of houses) does not show how the subdivision will be
accessed. Will additional impacts be required for a driveway off NC HWY 58 be
required to access the lots, if so then you need to include this impact in the application.
2. During a site visit with the Division of Coastal Management (DCM), DCM indicated
there may be coastal wetlands that are not shown on the proposed plans. These coastal
wetlands may be impacted by the proposed house on the east side of the property. Please
have the Division of Coastal Management confirm the extent of coastal wetlands on site
and indicate these on your drawings. To contact the Division of Coastal Management
(DCM) please call the Morehead City Office at 252.808.2808.
