On December 22, 2006, the Wetlands/401 Unit of the Division of Water Quality received a request from
Chad Evenhouse of Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., regarding a stream origin determination for a
project known as "Casto Morrisville" for acceptance into the Express Review Program. This letter
advises you that your project will not be accepted into the Express Review Program for the following
reason(s):
1) A surface water shall be present if the feature is approximately shown on either the most recent
version of the soil survey map prepared by the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the United
States Department of Agriculture or the most recent version of the 1:24,000 scale (7.5 minute)
quadrangle topographic maps prepared by the United States Geologic Survey. Riparian buffers
adjacent to surface waters that do not appear on either of the maps shall not be subject to this Rule.
There appear to be no streams on the subject property on either of the aforementioned maps, therefore
no stream determination for subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rules is required.
