Authorizing development in
Carteret
County at adjacent to Beaufort Channel, Piver's Island
Rd. Piver's Island , as requested in the permittee's submittal on 4/23/08. including the
attached workplan drawing (1) dated "revised by DCM 4/24/08".
This permit, issued on Apri124, 2008 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may
be subject to fines, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
Marina Reconfiguration
1) Unless specifically altered herein, this amendment authorizes the pivoting of the eastern most
floating dock, including all associated tie-pilings, and the designation of three additional boat slips
(indicated on the attached workplan drawing as slips 19, 20, and 21), all as expressly and specifically
set forth in the attached workplan drawing dated "revised by DCM on 4/24/08". No other structure,
whether floating or stationary, shall become a permanent part of this marina reconfiguration without
permit modification. No non-water dependent uses of structures shall be conducted on, in or over
public trust waters without further permit modification.
(See attached sheet for Additional Conditions)
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing
date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work initiation or
continuance as the case may be.
This permit shall be accessible on-site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification not covered
hereunder requires further Division approval.
All work shall cease when the permit expires on
December 31, 2010
In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees
that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.
Signed by the authority of the Secretary of DENR and the
Chairman of the Coastal Resources Commission.

ADDITION _~L CONDITION S
2) This amendment authorizes the addition of 3 boat slips, for a total of 21 slips at the authorized facility.
3) This amendment does not authorize any additional tie-pilings in association with the addition of slips 19,
20, and 21.
NOTE: This amendment does not authorize any further grading, paving, placement of gravel, or any
other action deemed as development by the Division of Coastal Management (DCNI) to the
existing upland parking area. DCM does not consider the minimal placement of railroad ties or
the "roping off' of areas to designate parking places as development.
4) This amendment shall be attached to the original of Permit No. 196-07, which was issued on 12/20/07,
and copies of both documents shall be readily available on site when Division personnel inspect the
project for compliance.
5) All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force under this amendment, unless
specifically altered herein.
NOTE: This amendment does not eliminate the need to obtain any additional state, federal or local
permits, approvals or authorizations that maybe required.
