REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Blackmon:
On January 28, 2008, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) issued a 401 Individual Water
Quality Certification for your project with Condition No. 6 requiring submission of and approval
for a stormwater management plan (SMP) within sixty days (of January 28, 2008) for the, project
before the impacts specified in the Certification may occur. On March 26, 2008, the DWQ
received correspondence from your stormwater engineer indicating that it was their opinion that
a SMP should not be required for this project. The DWQ will require additional information in
order to process your request to be relieved of the requirement a SMP for your project. Please
provide the following information so that we may address your request.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please resubmit two (2) copies of the site plans for Phases 1 & 2 on a scale not smaller
than 1" = 50'. The site plans must show existing and proposed contours, all lots,
roads/streets, utility features, club houses (if any), wetlands, etc.
2. Please delineate the drainage areas on each site plan, and show the stormwater collection
and drainage system. In other words, please provide drainage maps, and show the
stormwater conveyance system from collection (inlets) to outfalls (outlets).
3. For each drainage area, please provide impervious surface area calculations along with
all data used in the calculations such as number of lots, average lot size, street and
driveway dimensions (length, width), etc.

Please not that submission of and approval for a SMP is already past your 60 day due date.
Please submit this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. If we do not
receive this requested information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter, your request
will be withdrawn and your 401 Certification will be in violation of Condition No. 6.
This letter only addresses the your request to be relieved of the requirement a SMP for your
project and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers. Please be
aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this time) by the
