REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION: STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
Dear Mr. Burnett:
On November 30, 2005, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) issued a 401 Water Quality
Certification to impact 45 linear feet of perennial stream and 1041inear feet of intermittent stream in
order to construct a new middle and high school in Union County. In order to meet Condition 1 of
the 401 Certification for this project, a stormwater management plan, dated February 29,:2008, was
received by the DWQ on March 6, 2008. The DWQ has determined that your stormwater
management plan was incomplete as discussed below.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please insure that all three of the proposed Wet Detention Basins are designed in
accordance with Chapter 10 of the DWQ BMP Manual.
2. Please provide a Wet Detention Basin Supplement Form for each proposed device that
will be used on the site (including both worksheets, Design Summary and Required Items
Checklist), as well as all of the required items. Wet Detention Basin Supplement Forms
are available on the DWQ web site at: http://h2o.enr.state.ne.us/su/bmp forlns.htm.
Failure to provide the three supplement forms with all of the required items at the correct
scales will result in return of this project.
3. Please provide detailed documentation of the percent imperviousness for the drainage
area on the south side of the project that includes the proposed track. If that drainage area
is greater than 24 percent impervious, please provide an SMP that removes a minimum of
85 percent TSS. For each proposed BMP, please provide a completed BMP Supplement
Form, with all the required items. The BMP Supplement Forms are available at the
