REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Norris:
On March 26, 2008 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated
March 25, 2008, to fill or otherwise impact 0.322 acres. of wetland to construct a residential
subdivision. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided
inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in
order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject
property. Therefore, unless we receive five copies of the additional information requested
below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H
.0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional
information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your
project.
Additional Information Requested:
Your application indicates there will be 3081ots on 19 acres of buildable land (see
Section II, nos. 6 and 11, and Section VI, no. 3). Please comment on whether this
is correct. Regardless, your proposed lot size would indicate that your project
will be required to provide a stormwater management plan for DWQ approval as
a condition of your 401 Certification.
2. Per the requirements of GC 3705, this project must comply with Stormwater
Management Plan (SMP) Requirements for Applicants Other Than the North
Carolina Department of Transportation, available at:

otherthanNCDOT.pdf. Please include an SMP that removes a minimum of 85
percent TSS and 30 percent TN from the Stormwater generated by this project.

For each proposed BMP, please provide a completed BMP Supplement Form,
with all the required items. The BMP Supplement Forms are available at the
following web site: http://h2o.enr.stateaic.us/su/bm~ forms.hhn.
Please submit this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. If we do not
receive this requested information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter, your project
will be withdrawn. and you will need to reapply with a new application and a new fee.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands,
waters or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application
are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ. Please call Ms. Cyndi Karoly or Mr. Ian
