REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Hamlett:
DWQ Project # 06-1349
Durham County
On August 21, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated
August 17, 2006, to fill or otherwise impact 2001inear feet of intermittent stream to construct
110 townhome residential units, and associated parking and driveway. The DWQ has
determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as
discussed below. The DWQ will require five copies of the additional information requested in
order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject
property. This project has been placed on hold until the following criteria has been meet. Please
provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please provide detail for the stormwater management practices as required by GC3402.
This General Certification requires your proposed dry detention basins be converted to
constructed wetlands since this is a "NSW" watershed. Please submit revised plans for
the stormwater management.
2. This Office believes that the impacts (2001inear feet) to the rip rap stream on the
property should be minimized. It appears unnecessary to impact that length. Please
revise the plans to minimize the impacts.
Please contact the DWQ within three weeks of the date of this letter to verify that you have
received this letter and that you remain interested in continuing to pursue permitting of your
project and will be providing the DWQ the requested information at a later date. Please contact
me in writing and Eric Kulz of the DWQ Raleigh Regional Office. If we do not hear from you
