Based on the description it appears that the sediment release at 26+00 was the only release/wash out that made it to past the permitted areas. Janet, when you visit the project tomorrow, please take some pictures of these two areas. Thanks! Mason Cc: Waugh, Daniel G Subject: Review after Rainfall event 7-19-2016 bridges 16&20 Mason, I wanted to inform you of a sediment loss we had out here in the green swamp yesterday. We had about 3 inches of rain in an hour causing some erosion issues. First is at station 26+00, the new slope we built between the new and old roads washed partly through the rip rap and into the edge of the creek leaving a sediment deposit at the waters edge approximately 6'x6' and between 6-8" thick. Around station 32+50 RT, the shoulder washed out about 2 foot wide section leaving a deposit at the bottom of the slope in an area where silt fence has already been removed. This did not go beyond the project limits, but is almost up to the line where the silt fence was removed. These were the only two issues that put sediment close to or beyond our construction limits and they are being cleaned up by hand today. Please pass this information on as needed.
