Attached is the second Semi-Annual Stormwater Monitoring Report for McGuire Nuclear
Station for 2015. This report is required by Stormwater Permit No. NCS000020.
The stormwater samples were collected on 12/14/2015. Lab results were received by the
station on 1/05/2016.
Please note that the benchmark value for TSS on Outfall 008 was exceeded for this
sampling event. A review of the failure has been conducted as required by the Tier I
requirements in the permit. We identified an area of erosion up gradient of the Outfall
008 sampling point where erosion is occurring due to deteriorated gravel and pavement.
We are planning to grade the area and install additional rip rap to stabilize the area. The
results of the investigation will be documented in the Stormwater Pollution Prevention
Plan as required by our permit.
All other benchmark values were in compliance.
