Perform maintenance dredging along the landward 2100 feet (+/-) of the new channel originally constructed in 2005. Maintenance material will be deposited along 2,000 feet (+/-) of shoreline beginning on the ocean shoreline approximately 300 feet west of Coast Guard Road and extending around the west end of Emerald Isle along the Bogue Inlet shoreline to a point north of Inlet Drive to address shoreline erosion problems associated with a flood channel that parallels the shoreline (see attached Sheets 1 to 4). c. Describe the proposed construction methodology, types of construction equipment to be used during construction, the number of each type of equipment and where it is to be stored. A hydraulic dredge will remove material from the channel and pump it to the shoreline disposal area via a pipeline. Earth moving equipment (bulldozers and frontend loaders) will be used at the disposal location to shape the deposited material into the design template and instalUrelocate the pipeline. d.
