Toya,
Just got the original hard copy of the Weatherspoon application. The package included the wrong application fee. It
should be $860 instead of $3,440. We will return the check and ask for you to send another for the $860 fee amount.

Subject: RE: Weatherspoon industrial SW application
Toya,
Just wanted to give you a heads up about something on this one from a quick review. You have stated in the cover letter
that you could not complete the non-stormwater certification part of the application and have pointed out two outfalls
that you think are impacted by groundwater. I would refer you to language from our stormwater permit about
allowable non-stormwater discharges (see below) and ask that you evaluate these outfalls in accordance with this
description. If Duke believes that the discharge from these outfalls can't meet these criteria then we may have concerns
for our ability to permit these outfalls as part of the stormwater permit.
Allowable Non-Stormwater Discharges
This permit regulates stormwater discharges. However, non-stormwater discharges which
shall be allowed in the stormwater conveyance system include:
a. All other discharges that are authorized by a non-stormwater NPDES permit.
b. Uncontaminated groundwater, foundation drains, air -conditioner condensate without added chemicals, springs,
discharges of uncontaminated potable water, waterline and fire hydrant flushings, water from footing drains, flows
from riparian habitats and wetlands.
c. .Discharges resulting from fire -fighting or fire -fighting training, or emergency shower or eye wash as a result of use
in the event of an emergency
