Re.: Storm Water Discharge Outfall Monitoring — Permit COC NCG 30(`)80
As required, I am enclosing two copies of our July storm water samples lab reports. Hyster-Yale is
treating this as our semi-annual sampling requirement for our permit. SDO #1 is still showing high levels
of Zinc and actually increased from our June samples with no changes to our production. The noted
difference is in this sample the discharge from the upstream culvert was minimal the majority of the
runoff was coming from the parking lot. Hyster-Yale is reaching out to your local office for assistance in
addressing the elevated Zinc. SDO #2 also showed elevated levels of Zinc, the first semi-annual sample
had this discharge under the permit limit. I will make a note to monitor the levels of Zinc on the next
sample.
All other parameters were within the benchmark range.
