Dear Ms. Harris: The NC Division of Water Quality (NCDWQ), in a letter dated May 24, 2012, has received your request to withdraw your application (DWQ No. 20120285) for the proposed Monroe Bypass in Union County. The NCDWQ will accept your request. In doing so, the Department will cease any current reviews of your application and will no longer consider issuing a 401 Water Quality Certification for your project at this time. Please be mindful that no impacts or construction activities will be allowed until a valid 401 Water Quality Certification is obtained. Please feel free to resubmit your application to the NCDWQ at any time in the future.
