3. Project Description
3a. Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this
application:
The project is located on a golf course. Streambanks to be stabilized are experiencing ongoing erosion. Golf course is
on either side of stream along project area with grass being the only vegetation up to the top of bank.
3b. List the total estimated acreage of all existing wetlands on the property: 0
3c List the total estimated linear feet of all existing streams (intermittent and perennial) on the property 2,333
3d. Explain the purpose of the proposed project:
The purpose is to create an environment along the streambanks where vegetation can be established for stabilization and
erosion reduced. Pressure on the streambanks will be reduced by an in -stream rock structure thus inhibiting further erosion.
3e Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used:
Shaping by an excavator will be done along the streambanks to create gentle slopes conducive for vegetation. These sloped
streambanks will also allow for the dissipation of excess storm water during rain events. Erosion control matting will be installed
on streambank where shaping is to occur and seeding and Livestakes will be applied. A rock cross vein will be constructed in
the channel of the stream to control velocity and reduce the erosion vessur .
