The N. C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold an informal public meeting regarding
the proposed widening/improvements of Julian Road (S.R. 2538) from U.S. 601 (Jake Alexander
Boulevard) to I-85 in Salisbury, Rowan County.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, September S, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rowan County
Rescue Squad Station 91, 1140 Julian Rd, Salisbury.
The purpose of this project is to improve safety and congestion on Julian Road by widening the
roadway.
This meeting will provide an opportunity for NCDOT representatives to provide project
information, gather public input, and answer questions regarding this project. Interested
citizens may attend at any time during the above mentioned hours. There will not be a formal
presentation. The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or
by mail no later than September 30.
