The R-4903 project at the intersection of NC 87 and US 701, Elizabethtown, Bladen County had a sediment loss
yesterday due to the rain. There was 0.8 inch rain that fell yesterday afternoon in a ½ hour and then an additional 0.5
inch last night. Silt Fence was overtopped at Permit Site #4, but, it did not get into the stream so there is no loss that
needed reported. At Permit Site #6, the Special Sediment Control Fence was damaged and there was some material get
to Browns Creek. The amount is unknown. The Special Control Sediment Fence is being repaired and the flow channel is
being seeded, mulched and matted. Roadside Environmental was on-site and reported to me the issues. They are
overseeing the repairs.
