I’ll head out to the site tomorrow. DOT was making repairs on Thursday but don’t believe they could have created that much turbidity based on the pictures. Joe said that Beaver Creek had cleared up between that storm event and this turbidity event so it wasn’t that, unless DOT was maybe doing some clean out or repair of measures? Just thought I’d send you guys more details in case you can figure anything more out. It’s got to be coming from the US 221 project. Beaver Cr. ran muddy all day after you left and around 1600 hrs it started to clear up some. I’ve attached pictures I took that morning of the creek. As I mentioned, we had not started work that morning as it ran muddy and we didn’t work in the stream all day. Pictures: 1 – Confluence of Beaver Creek and South Fork New River 2 – Beaver Creek at SR 1147 Nettle Knob Road, approximately 0.8 miles above the restoration site 3 – Beaver Creek at SR 1195 Marsh Stuart Drive, approximately 1.8 miles above the restoration site 4 – Beaver Creek at a private drive crossing just below SR 221 and DOT construction 5 – Beaver Creek above US 221 construction at SR 1195, there are two tributaries at this location, the one shown is slightly turbid, the other one, not show, was clear. 2
