Subject: U-3633 request for more information

Donna,

NCDOT is currently working on revising permit and roadway drawings for U-3633 in response to your July 19, 2016
letter. The following will be part of the revised plans:

1)All riprap in jurisdictional areas has been upgraded to Class II.

2)No details referencing jurisdictional streams show geotextile fabric on the bed of the stream.

3)Inlet stabilization has been added to permit sites 1, 3, 4, and 5 (and impact summary sheet has been revised

accordingly).
4)More detailed floodplain bench details for Fites Creek have been provided.

5)The rock sill detail (detail 6) for permit site 7 has been updated to remove geotextile fabric and use Class II riprap.

6)The easement line near the pond will be changed from a PUE (Permanent Utility Easement) to a DUE (Permanent

Drainage/Utility Easement) to allow for better erosion control associated with installing a 24” drainage line next
to the pond.
7)Temporary dewatering impacts for each site have been incorporated into the impacts.

8)Any riprap used in stream beds will be embedded.
