REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION: STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
Dear Sir or Madam:
On October 22,.2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) issued a 401. Water Quality Certification
to fill or otherwise impact 52 linear feet of perennial stream in order to construct the above. named
project. In order to meet Condition 9 of the 401 Certification for this project, a stormwater
management plan, dated February 11, 2008, was received by the DWQ. on February 13, 2008. The
DWQ has determined that your stormwater management plan was incomplete as discussed below.
Additional Information Requested:
1. For all BMPs:
a. An up to date soils report that documents the soil infiltration rates and SHWT levels at
each of the four BMP locations.
b. Information on the pre-treatment system you are using for the two sand filters.
c. Please show the limits of the proposed drainage easements for the BMPs on the plans.
d. Please provide a construction sequence that shows that the BMPs will be protected
from sediment during construction until the entire drainage area is stabilized.
2. For the proposed sand filters:
a. Please provide clean-outs for the underdrain systems.
b. Please provide a minimum slope of 0.5% on the underdrain systems.
c. For infiltration basin A, it appears that there maybe two inlets entering this basin that
do not pass through a flow splitting device. If this is the case, please correct this so that
all flows enter the basin via a flow splitting device and a forebay.

3. For the proposed infiltration basins:
a. Please provide afour-inch sand layer on the bottom of each infiltration basin.
b. On plan sheet 3.6, the bypass structure detail is incorrectly labeled - it also applies to
manholes 31 a and 44.
The DWQ will require the above additional information to finalize review of the stormwater
management plan for the subject property. Please provide the following information so that we may
