Dear Permittee:
Section 3. b. of The Evan Brice Partnership Settlement Agreement (SA) entered into with
the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) by Eaven Brice Partnership and James Rice
dated 14 June, 2016, requires the Permittee to submit documentation identifying the type of
new flowmeter to be installed at the North View Mobile Home Park WWTP for review and
approval prior to installation. Information on two flow meter types was received via fax from
Mr. James Rice on 21 June, 2016.
Based on our review of the information provided to-date, the proposed flowmeter is not
approved. We offer the following:
1. The information submitted lists both the RTF-10-F Flow Meter Chart Recorder, which is a
mechanical float controlled device, and Sonarange Ultrasonic Controllers, which utilize
ultrasonic sensors. Please specify which product is being proposed.
2. For the proposed product, please provide a list of facilities where an identical device has
been installed and is operational at a facility similar in type to Northview MHP so that the
DWR can evaluate effectiveness and make a determination as to whether the proposed
device is industry standard.
3. For the device proposed, please provide a brief narrative describing any modifications to
the plant necessary to utilize the device?
