Chad,
I spoke with Cory this morning. We've updated the pond to make sure that water does not short circuit, by raising the
forebay berm and providing a directional outlet into the main pool, a solution Cory agreed would be sufficient.
Additionally, per Cory's direction, I've reviewed other available calculations which will provide supporting evidence of
the velocity leaving the pond at less than 2 feet per second. See attached additional calculation across the dissipater
pad.
We're eager for approval, so if you could provide an approval letter today, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks for your time, and don't hesitate to call my mobile with questions, comments, or concerns.

Andrew/ Mike:
I've reviewed the submittal and it looks good but would like a couple items addressed.
1) The location of the pond's forebay and outlet may result in short-circuiting instead of the recommended 3:1 or
greater flow path. Please revise either the outlet location or include baffles to extend the flow path (to force
inflow back towards retaining wall).
2) When calculating the outlet velocity from the pond (1.34 ft/s), the full area of the 18" RCP was used to
determine exit velocity for the 10 year discharge. Full pipe flow is unlikely and the calculation should be revised
or evaluated from termination of riprap dissipater pad.
Thank you.
