Just FYI in case you get any calls
Yesterday Blue Ridge Electric(their subcontractor) was working outside the project limits at their substation above Food
Lion and hit an 8” waterline that belongs to the Town of Blowing Rock. It ran for over an hour. Lots and lots of water
flooded our project washing sediment and debris everywhere and into our storm drain system. They were pouring
flowable fill and when they broke the water line, all that flowable fill went straight to into our storm drain. Hopefully
with the amount of water that was lost, the solution to the pollution was dilution, but if you get any calls about floating
fish in the headwaters of the new river, BREMCO should be the one contacted.
