The DWQ has determined that the application will require additional information in order to review and provide an approval to impact these resources. Failure to provide this information may result in denial of your application as required by 1 SA NCAC 2H .0506. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project: 1. Stormwater Management Plan: a. Please submit a stormwater management plan for the subject property as per the guidelines below. Under Condition No. 4 of GC 3402, the Division will require stormwater management plans for developments that have, or are anticipated to have, 30% or greater of impervious surface area. Furthermore, it is the Division's policy that areas of concentrated development within a project must treat stormwater runoff. Stormwater management shall be designed to remove 85% TSS according to the latest version of DWQ's Stormwater Best Management Practices manual at a minimum. Please submit stormwater management plans that include site plans (with the structural practices utilized), worksheets and supporting calculations, signed and notarized operation and maintenance agreement. 2. Retaining Wall Requirements: You have proposed a 1:1 slope reinforced earthen retaining wall in order to minimize impacts to a perennial stream. DWQ is concerned about the high erosion potentiaUsusceptibility to failure of the proposed wall and its consequences down slope to the stream. We request the plans and supporting geotechnical information for this retaining wall to determine if this is an acceptable option. Please respond within three (3) days of the date of this letter by sending five (5) copies of the above information in writing. 4010verslght I Express Review PermRting Unit 1650 Mall Serve Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1650 2321 Crabtree Boulevard, Suite 250, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604 Phone: 919-733-17861 FAX 919-733.68931 lntemet: httn://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands N°ne Caro ' a ~atura~ An Equal Opportunity/Affirmatlve Action Empbyer- 50% Recydedll0% Post Consumer Paper Page 2 of 2 September 12, 2006 This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers.
