Well, that sounds like what we talked about. May I just say....let the stream be closed out. I am sure that is all DOT
wants to know is, is the stream good and can they close out.
Ginny, what did Randy say we asked for on the initial close out site for #16. I have in my note "log sills". But nothing
more. I just know in general, the site was pretty much ok, but they were going to come back and do some work.

David,
I had told Randy I would follow up with Alan on this project, which I did. So can you please let Randy know the following.
Alan's field comments (8/16/2014) —"DWR would recommend notching existing log sills to ensure water flows over
them. One log sill that is half crossing the stream appears to be directing flow into the bank which may still be causing
scour." Were likely just based on what was seen in the field on that day (8/16/2014). Alan was talking and I was
taking notes, so he does not have his own field notes to ck, although he had looked at my comments after the field visit
and been ok with them. What Alan had said was that the removal of logs sills (header and footer logs) were discussed at
the Apr 21, 2014 meeting. Comments that were made in August were just based on what the stream looked like on that
day after the work was done. This was a recommendation only. Overall he did not have an issue with the condition of
the stream stability as do I.
Alan please let me and David know if this is a fair assessment of our conversation before David follows up with DOT.
