We have one or two more dead fish again today. I will just answer your questions: First dead fish was on May 13th and they were mainly bream and one or two catfish. A total of at least 8 to 10. From then it has been all catfish ranging from 1/2 pound to perhaps 8 to 10 pounds. I have not sprayed anything this year. Last summer and fall I sprayed a product recommended called "Clipper". It is a herbicide that I used to try to control the water meal and duck weed. I have never had any of these until the road construction. The lake has always been free of these. (it appears the duck weed is starting up again) Yes, we have a different "film" on top of the water now I have never seen. Scott with DOT, Shorty and Roger with Dragados took a sample of the "film" several days ago but I have not heard back from them. Also we have a different weed or plant starting to grow that I did not have last year. I will send off samples to see what it is. I will send you pics of the film and the new growth. We have had at least 3 huge overflows into the lake since December the 24th last year. I have videos and pics of them and it cannot be good for the lake!! I am sending pics of the film separately. Please let me know if I can help in anyway. I will keep you posted.
