Dear Anthony:
Attached please find a quad map, soils map and tax maps showing the properties owned by Ms.
Addie M. Allegood, C/O Linwood Allegood, in Ayden which are bounded on the south by Hines Drive
(SR 1122) and on the east by Swift Creek. There is an unnamed tributary cutting through the northwest
corner of the tract which shows up on both the soils and quad maps. The soils map, and the quad map to
an extent, show this unnamed tributary running near the north tract line as it heads to Swift Creek, but the
OPIS aerial photo shows it hooking to the north considerably before hitting Swift Creek. I guess it is
possible that this tributary was re-routed as it crosses the adjoining property.
On the west side of the tract there are two field ditches feeding into the south side of the
aforementioned unnamed tributary from Hines Road. One of these ditches shows up only on the soils
map and the other is only shown on the quad map.
We request your review of these properties' drainage features to determine if they are subject to
the riparian buffer rules. We assume that Swift Creek will be considered ajurisdictional stream. Please
don't hesitate to contact me should you have any question or require any additional information. If you
could let us know when you plan to be on site, I wouldn't mind meeting you there to look things over as
well.
