RE: Request for comments on,NCDOT Low Impact Bridge Replacement
Projects
Dear Mr. Ridings:
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is preparing the planning
and environmental studies for the above referenced bridge replacement projects.
We anticipate that the projects will be processed as Programmatic Categorical
Exclusions.
The purpose of this letter is to solicit your input concerning the potential impacts of
the seven proposed projects upon social, economic, demographic, land use or
environmental conditions near the project sites. A vicinity map is attached illustrating
the locations of the projects.
This letter constitutes solicitation for scoping comments. You may provide written
comments by December 23, 2011. Those comments will enable us to evaluate the
impacts of the proposed projects and address your concerns.
