Summary: The natural creek channel is not straight at the point where the existing stub for Reynard Road is located and the proposed extension is going to go. The topography is such that there needs to be a considerable amount of fill placed in order to make the crossing. Due to the large amount of fill required, the side slopes of the road are increased considerably. This increase in the side slopes of the road result in a situation where placing the culvert in the natural channel where it crosses the road to result in the disturbance of an additional ±175 feet of the existing creek to the north and an additional ±175 feet to the south. (Please see Exhibits previously furnished). This would increase the disturbance to the existing channel to over 500 feet. We believe, and hope you concur, that putting the culvert outside of the existing channel would limit the disturbance to the existing creek channel to the absolute minimum. 1 hope this answers your question.
