Dear Mr. Sentgeorge:
RE: Proposed realignment for extension of Yonkers Road extension near Capitol Blvd
City of Raleigh, Wake County
DWQ staff have reviewed the plan provided to us by you via email on February 16, 2007
which showed a relocated road on the site of the Raleigh Property Group in order to have only
one stream crossing rather than two. As discussed at our February 15, 2007 meeting, DWQ will
require traffic modeling information in order to allow us to determine if this crossing (and the
crossing of Crabtree Creek for the Six Forks Road extension) is needed. Please provide this
modeling as soon as it is completed. Assuming that this modeling shows the need for another
exit toward Capitol Blvd, DWQ staff believe that the one crossing as outlined in your email
attachment would be approvable by DWQ through our 401 Water Quality Certification and
Neuse River buffer programs.
If you have any additional questions, please contact me at 733-9646.
Sinq'ejeurs,
Dorn
