We also want to burn and are coordinating with our RCW biologist and NWTF for potential burn next winter. The note on Figure 3 is a standard disclaimer on our maps since it is not a survey plat. However, the wetlands were delineated pre-project and were approved by the Corps and surveyed by a RLS. The wetland boundary line on that particular figure is the surveyed line from the CAD file we received from the surveyor- so should be accurate. Let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else- Thanks- Christian Christian Preziosi | Environmental Consultant Direct: 452-0001 x 1909 | Cell: 910.471.0515 | Fax: 910.452.0060 Email: cpreziosi@lmgroup.net Land Management Group, Inc. | Environmental Consultants 3805 Wrightsville Avenue, Suite 15 | Wilmington, NC 28403 | www.lmgroup.net From: Sugg, Mickey T SAW \[mailto:Mickey.T.Sugg@usace.army.mil\] Sent: Friday, May 06, 2016 3:59 PM To: Baker, Virginia <virginia.baker@ncdenr.gov> Cc: Christian Preziosi <cpreziosi@lmgroup.net>; Haupt, Mac <mac.haupt@ncdenr.gov> Subject: RE: \[EXTERNAL\] RE: Northeast Cape Fear Umbrella Mitigation Bank - Annual Monitoring Report (UNCLASSIFIED) CLASSIFICATION: UNCLASSIFIED Thanks Jenny, I was informed a few weeks ago that the owner/sponsor is really wanting to burn the site and has had some discussion with WRC (Holly Shelter Gamelands). I think it is a high priority for him. Regarding the "approximate" label, the answer off the top of my head is that it was based on soil type verified in the field and was not actually delineated 100%. I think that is the reasoning, but not for certain w/o taking a longer look in the file. Similarly to Mac I had no significant concerns with this mitigation site and credit release. Success criteria are being met for the Northeast Cape Fear Umbrella Bank - Holly Shelter Tract. Please provide a figure that overlays habitat type with well gauge locations and results for future monitoring reports. Although not a part of the scope of this project, prescription burns are really needed to obtain habitat characteristics associated with Pine Savanah and Wet Pine Flats. Some photo points and a corresponding figure of photo points located in other parts of the property are recommended. Why are pre-restoration wetland boundaries "approximate" in Figure 3A?
