Number of persons served: 255 This application is being submitted for a modification to to allow the existing wastewater treatment facilities to receive a maximum of 500 gpd of backwash wastewater collected from nearby, existing private community well water, uranium filtration systems. These existing community well water systems are owned and operated by the applicant (Aqua North Carolina, Inc.) The well water, uranium filter backwash wastewaters is collected and held in existing tanks at the well sytems. This application requests the permission to periodically transport these collected uranium backwash wastewaters via a tanker truck, to the existing Harbor Estates WWTP, where it will be unloaded into a holding tank on site and introduced into the influent of the WWTP at a rate less than 1 gpm and controlled by a manual vavle. An analysis of the collected uranium filter backwash wastewaters from each of the existing community well systems in included in Attachment 1. 5.
