The sand has already been tested by DOT and approved by the Park
Service/Interior Department for use in the Cape Hatteras and Pea Island
National Seashores. NCDOT Board Member Stan White's letters to you (15
November 2005) and Mr. Hollowell (25 May 2005) specifically confirm this.
Also, the DOT soils lab data are included behind the 11/9/99 tab in the
three inch binder I provided.
I appreciate you forwarding that inquiry to me. Please continue to pass
along any questions you receive so that I can address any/all concerns in my
draft presentation package.
