To All,
I took a ride out to the site this morning to get a first-hand look and took the attached photos. Looks like the pretty
much all the boulders are out of the creek, might still be a few smaller ones. Also looks like the contractor pulled the
vast majority off the banks as well. Take a look at the photos but I don’t really see much of an issue here. They should
throw some seed out in a few places and they still have the sewerline corridor to dress up and seed but hard to really
point at any 404/401 issues of significance.
Please let me know if we are still on for meeting at the site on Friday morning at 9.30.
Thanks,
John

Byron,
The two pictures I provided to William are attached. The approximate lat/long is 35.907914, -82.218606. The boulders
were observed on Little Crabtree Creek just downstream of where the creek passes under Micaville Loop Road.

Hi All,
I have scheduled a meeting for this Friday AM, but I can shift my schedule to attend a site visit is
necessary. Alternatively, I can do a solo site visit tomorrow to weigh in on potential ESA/elktoe issues. Based
on the information provided, I do not have major concerns with removing the remaining boulders from the
OHW boundary, but it would be good for me to have some more info.
Andrew or William,
Can you send me the site photos referenced in your April 18 email? They did not make it to the email sent to
me. Also, please send a site location and/or any other project info.

Alright, it sounds like we just need Byron to weigh in on the Elk Toe issue and whether he wants/needs to
attend a meeting on Friday morning. I haven't been to the site but my understanding is that the contractor has
moved the boulders back onto the bank and was wanting to know if he could leave them. I'm not really seeing

this as a good option, so unless there is an objection, I can go ahead and coordinate him getting all the
remaining boulders removed from the boundary of OHW - ASAP. If this works with everyone, I'll get moving
on this and visit the site to make sure there are no complicating issues.
Thanks,
John

Andrew,
I agree that having Greg there would be helpful, once we settle on a time I'll work from this end to get him
there.
9:30 Friday morning works for me. Thanks,

William,
I am available this Friday. I can be there by 9:30. FYI, I also notified Greg Bryant with Bryant's Land &
Development, who is the contractor for the active portion of the project, regarding the complaint. If we meet, it
may be advantageous to invite him to the meeting as well.
Let me know how you'd like to proceed.
Andrew

William,
I received a complaint call last week regarding the subject project. The complaint was in regard to boulders,
created during blasting activities associated with sewer line installation, being deposited within Little Crabtree
Creek. I conducted a site visit last week and observed several boulders along the banks of Little Crabtree
Creek, and some within the water. No water quality violations were noted as a result of the boulders, but note
that those incidental impacts were not permitted.
See attached pics and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
