I am forwarding the revised drawings to you both. Three permit sheets for Site 2: Permit Drawing Sheet 9 of 18 and 10 of 18 (w/ topo.). Also Sheet 9A of 18 that includes the RockCross Vane Detail. I had to use 9A, in order to keep the correct chronology of drawings. Two permit sheets for Site 4: Permit Drawing Sheet 13 of 18 and 14 of 18 (w/ topo.). Per response to Item #3 of email, Permit Site 4 has been included to show that no riprap will be in stream (in Detail). Three Roadway sheets to correspond with the Rock Cross Vane Detail (Sheet 2-K), with Permit Site 2 (Sheet 11), and with Permit Sheet 4 (Sheet 19). As I will be in the field tomorrow and want to get these to you, I will just include a copy of this email as the cover letter for the drawings. I hope that is acceptable. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Bill William (Bill) A. I have discussed DWQ's comments with Bill as to his understanding what clarifications are needed. We have revised the roadway plans and permit drawing sheets: 6A (new sheet for Rock Cross Vane Detail), 8, and 10 of 14 to address these items. Below, I provide our reply adjacent to DWQ's comments: 1. Please provide the slope on the new culvert at Permit Site 2. As some of the natural meander of the stream will be removed and the culvert will increase the velocity of the flow, will some sort of structure be installed to prevent stream degradation? We discussed installing a cross vane near the end of the stream to provide some energy dissipation and habitat until the additional road construction occurs. At Permit. Site 2, tFce proposed culrert slyne is 0. Fil %„ which is shoti~~n vn Perrrait Sheet 13 v f l ~ -Site ~ - Pc•a lc alvn~ Strarcture. Regcrrdin~; cross vane we have added a ryck~ cross vane 170 ft:from crch-ert outlet cxnd t~r•ior• tv tie bacl~ to the existin~~ channel. As r'rulicccted cthyve Rvadwav Sheet ~-K hcas been added tv Permit Sheet crs Sheet 6A of I ~. 2. The plan view on Permit Site 2 depicts riprap near the outlet headwall and an arrow indicates another SO linear feet with filter fabric along the banks. Please clarify the amount of impacts depicted on the plan sheet (sheet 11). In addition, the detail box depicts what also appears to be conflicting information. As discussed w~e have revised rzlara vie~l~> lcrbelin~ and the details fir the inlet arrd outlet channel to clan ' the proz7ased 1a~oriz: 3. A note should be included that the riprap will be placed on the banks of the stream only (all sheets where applicable). Specifically, we want to ensure that the outlet at Site 2 does not become a riprap lined ditch after initial construction. As requested, the irotc "Riprap shall rcpt be placed in stream bed " hers beery added at Sites 2 and 4. 4. As approximately 200 linear feet of stream impacts at Site 2 are proposed for future road widening and it is unknown when or if the road will be constructed, DWQ would ask that the banks be graded and stabilized with some sort of woody vegetation. REU is addressin.~ this iterzz. 5. At Permit Site 2, three 8x8 culverts will be installed. How is DOT proposing to maintain the natural stream dimension at this location? Will one or more of the boxes be floodflow only? Will benches be created or sills installed (this item was not discussed on Monday)? ~1s discussed, tlce proposed cxch•ert has ?-ft hi,~lr sills st~ecified for the outside bcn-rels.
