Per our onsite meeting yesterday, the feature that you requested a determination for application of the Neuse River
Riparian Buffer Rules is part of the Goldsboro Housing Authority Stream Enhancement Site EEP Project No.
145. Therefore, any proposed work to address the reported flooding issues will have to coordinate with the North
Carolina Department of Environment Stewardship Program. Please contact Mr. Randy Turner, Director of DEQ
Stewardship Program, at [phone] to discuss the site conditions. Please note, any work within the stream channel
and/or adjacent Neuse River Buffer will also require coordination with this US Army of Engineers and this Office.
