includes a brid a to s an South Creek. An existin sewer line runs arallel to the left side of the stream channel.
A permit for riparian buffer impacts has been granted b NCDWO for this proiect (DWQ Proiect # 07-1345,
dated Au st 16 2007) The bridge and roadway design was based on incorrect survey data and we have since
inco orated the correct data that shows a meander bend located near the a dbent of the southeastern comer of the
brid e. This has also resulted in recalculation of ri arian buffer im acts and sub uent i cr a in the im acts
from what was rmitted in Au st 2007. The location of the brid a also coincides with where an doned car
is located in the stream channel. Construction of the endbent near the top of bank will require larger concrete
footin s to stabilize the endbent and retainin wall su orts to revent erosion azound the endbent. It will also
create tem r im acts durin construction and from removal of the abandoned car. Stabilization of the fill
slope will create permanent stream impacts from rip-rap placed in the channel at the endbent location.
This Revised Express Permit request is for modification of the r~arian buffer impacts and for minor permanent
stream impacts from stabilization measures at the bridge endbent Adjustment to the bridge alignment are being
made in au effort to reduce impacts• a final design will be presented with the permit application. Mitigation for
ri arian buffer im acts will be r nested from NC Ecos stem Enhancement Pro
